Fashion Show Futures
The Brief: Identify a brand, employ a case study analysis and propose an enhanced and reimagined fashion show.
Brand: Erdem the eponymous ready-to-wear women's label by Turkish-British designer Erdem Moralioglu. Having nurtured his talent studying at Ryerson University in Toronto and The Royal College of Arts. He honed his talent working for Vivienne Westwood and Diane von Furstenberg, and in the fifteen years of Erdem, he has earned the title of master of femininity and romance. His work is beautiful; evidence of how he achieves luxury with craftsmanship and technology.
The Case Study: I firstly focused on the history and the importance of the fashion show. Followed by a look at instigators and disruptors to the show paying particular attention to the Pandemic and the industry response to serve as inspiration and justification for a new fashion show approach for Erdem. Finishing with a forward-thinking approach to presenting Spring/Summer 2020 - A series type show titled The Lives of Others.
